CMM 491 - Senior Seminar (3 cr.)

Capstone professional development course for all majors in Communication Studies. Students engage in experiential learning and professional preparation through production of job application materials (e.g. resume, cover letter), interview practice, researching organizations of interest, and identifying and corresponding with prospective professional mentors. Course culminates with a final presentation to Communication Studies department faculty that requires students to explicitly draw from concepts, theories, methods, and examples learned during prior coursework to account for their career objectives and developed areas of topical and practical expertise.
