The Cannabis Chemistry certificate will focus on the analytical chemistry of cannabis, providing students with knowledge and skills necessary for roles involving quality control, product development, or research within the cannabis sector. By focusing on the chemical composition of cannabis, students can gain a comprehensive understanding of the plant and its derivatives, which is crucial for ensuring product consistency, safety, and efficacy in the rapidly evolving cannabis market. This certificate will provide an overview of the phytochemistry of cannabis and address the social-economical aspects of the cannabis industry. Certificate Requirements 18 Credits

CHE 320 - Phytochemistry of Cannabis (3 cr.)
CHE 330 - Cannabis seminar (1-2 cr.) (must be taken twice)
CHE 440 - Analytical Techniques for Cannabis (4 cr.)
